Commercial AV Installation Technician
Job Description
East West Associates specializes in complete integrated communications services for commercial clients in a variety of industry sectors including, colleges and universities, municipal and government, houses of worship, early and secondary education, commercial facilities, professional and PEG broadcast as well as sports and performing arts venues. The AV Installation Technician will play a critical role in the installation of audio video, control, and data systems, as well as other related tasks for East West Associates contracted projects.
Tasks and responsibilities include but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components, rack fabrication and wiring layout for equipment and custom fabrication.
Responsibilities:

Perform installation tasks based on project scope and directives

Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints

Use hand and power tools along with various other AV system related tasks

Support an Engineer/Programmer with updates and implementation

Support onsite data/networking installation and service

Assist in onsite client support service calls and other troubleshooting related tasks

Assist team to track, manage and secure all associated equipment and tools on jobsite

Communicate and coordinate with other trades on site

Perform client training as needed

Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Working conditions often include operating in a construction environment. Working from ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and basements will be required as part of this job.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are an absolute must

Hold or Be willing to obtain AV related certifications and participate in industry training, certification, professional development programs

Valid MA Drivers License, Travel to various job sites required in company provided vehicle

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
